Our team is incredibly welcoming, with most members of staff having been with us for many years, some from day one.
We are family owned and offer a nurturing environment and you will have the opportunity to really grow in this role. To complement our very generous remuneration package, we have additional benefits such as stylish clothes, flexible working arrangements, and most importantly, a culture of support for our people.
Plenty of parking and close to transport makes it easy to get to work. Great schools
are located near both clinics, so this role would also be convenient for mothers and
fathers returning to work with children.
Joining SCV means that you’ll be joining one of Australia’s most innovative, progressive veterinary clinics, dedicated to best practice and the advancement of veterinary medicine. We are committed to minimally invasive surgical options and pride ourselves as being at the forefront of emerging technology and the development of our vets in this area.
We have a unique partnership with veterinary (local and international) and human specialists in the areas of gastroenterology, radiation oncology, surgery and anaesthesia, the collaboration with whom is intellectually stimulating and fun!
We offer laparoscopic desexing, ultrasound, CT, digital x-ray and all the latest technology including Ligasure and Cayman surgical handpieces supported by a remarkable, well trained team of nurses.
While we do most major surgery at our St Peters clinic, we invite medicine-oriented people to apply as we are also looking to grow our medicine case load as we move towards
AVHS Hospital of Excellence accreditation this year.
We also have our own charity called Project HoPe that looks after the surgical and medical needs of the companions of the homeless. Each of our staff must have a desire to use their heart, mind and skills to save the lives of the pets of Sydney’s least fortunate – those living rough on the streets.
This community we look after have often lost everything and the little heartbeat at their feet is all they have to wake up for in the morning.
Our unrivalled online presence, media attention and our ability to add rich content weekly, is unlike any other clinic and affords you an incredible opportunity to raise your profile as a veterinarian (if you wish).
This adds immeasurable value to the public by equipping them with updates, demystifying veterinary services and providing critical information, such as with the recent leptospirosis update. Please have a look around our Facebook and Instagram accounts for further information.
