Is your dog getting older?

Senior Health Checks

Help your dog stay healthy and comfortable in their golden years

A Senior Health Assessment at Southern Cross is a cost-effective way of practising true ‘preventative health medicine’. It makes sense to be pro-active rather than re-active in treating our ageing pets.

Once a dog or cat turns 7, they officially enter the “Golden Years”. It is in these years that ailments such as arthritis and diseases like cancer and degenerative diseases become more common, and it’s in their best interest to keep a more regular eye on their health.

Rather than focusing on vaccinations, regular checkups at least once yearly are important in conjunction with urine and blood testing, if indicated. For information about how we interpret the blood test results, click here.

We have a concierge service available for pickups and drop offs from Arncliffe, Mascot, Marrickville, Alexandria, Earlwood and surrounding suburbs, call us now to book in your pet’s Senior Health Check on 02 9516 0234 or email us at [email protected] for more information.
