This is a wonderful vet. Went there once with my puppy and unlike other vets that try to sell you every service under the sun even though it isn’t needed this team takes things in stages. In other words saved me about 300 dollars instead of jumping straight into unnecessary treatment.

We booked little Lola our french bulldog in for a laparoscopy, Dr Sam and the team treated Lola like she was their little precious one! The team were in constant contact during the day with updates, which kept us well informed and rest assured. We picked her up the same day and whipped the cone of silence off and haven't looked back. Lola was back to her normal bouncy self the next day! (Try keeping a French bulldog puppy still for more than 5 minutes) Her tiny wound healed very quickly with no issues! We were very impressed and have recommended Dr Sam and the team at Southern Cross Vets to all new puppy owners we meet in the street! Hi guys I have just come home to find a beautiful bunch of flowers at my front door from your team after having my dog Ralph put down on Saturday at Southern Cross after he went downhill quickly after a mast cell tumour diagnosis – thank you so much, such a kind gesture and not one that you come across often these days. A huge thank you to Matt, Mia, Natasha and the other nurse and vet, I’m sorry that I have forgotten their names, who were on duty on Saturday afternoon who had to deal with a very upset owner – me! – and who looked after Ralph in his final moments – your compassion and Mia’s hugs made a world of difference at a very difficult time. It’s unfortunate that our first visit was on Wednesday after being very highly recommended by a number of dog owners in my local area, and then for the result to mean that Ralph’s final visit was only a couple of days later on Saturday. It goes without saying that I will sing the praises of Southern Cross Vet Clinic to everyone I know. Thanks again,

We were really impressed with Sam and his staff. Our dog, Spanner, had to have hIs teeth done which involved a general anaesthetic. I was a little nervous and Sam was at all times compassionate, knowledgeable and he uses latest technology. All this was very reassuring. He kept me informed throughout the process and followed up several times to make sure Spanner was doing well after the procedure. Sam’s rates were also extremely reasonable. He is completely upfront and honours his initial quote, so there are no hidden extras. The surgery is also extremely clean and the staff are welcoming. Highly recommended. I will definitely be using this practice as my local vet.

I’m sure you hear this all the time, but from your service at the Vet, to the follow up calls and extra details like helping out with an insurance claim, you guys are the best Vet I have ever come across. When adopted, my furbaby Dory started exhibiting signs of being allergic to something pretty early on. She would get sores all over her belly that would get infected and weep, her paws were constantly red and itchy and she'd scratch until I made her stop, she could not leave it alone so I could tell she was extremely uncomfortable. After countless visits to different vets, elimination diet & using steroids, which Dory reacted badly to, I finally had a conversation with a vet at Southern Cross Vet who suggested Heska Allercept. I hesitated due to price as well as Dory being an older dog, but looking at my poor fur baby so uncomfortable, I was willing to try anything, and I'm so glad I did! First off we did a blood test that checked for allergens, and when the results came through I was stunned to find she had one of the highest reactions the vet had ever seen! Dory's reactions are from most grasses & weeds, dust mites and bread & mildew. The report was really specific in naming each allergen and what type of plant/fungus/insect. They then make a vaccine tailored to her reactions. Previously, managing so many allergies meant a restricted lifestyle for Dory, as during that time she was having tobe kept indoors, wear a T-shirt to the park, be washed regularly and all her bedding and sofa cleaned up every week, so I was eager to start the shots. When they came through it was really easy to inject her myself and she didn't even feel the tiny needle. Within a month I saw a dramatic drop in her sores & obsessive itching, and when treatment was complete, her allergies look like they're almost eliminated, she looked like a completely different dog! I would 100% recommend this allergy vaccine. It's been a complete life changer for us and Dory can finally be comfortable. She's now a regular healthy dog who can enjoy countless trips outside and I don't have to worry about her skin anymore. I really didn't think a result like this would be feasible, I'm just blown away that something like this even exists! I've been telling all of my friends, even humans, to give allergy vaccines a go. Thanks to the great team at Sourthern Cross vet!
