Here is an awesome opportunity for a full-time vet nurse to join our talented team working across our Bellevue Hill, Surry Hills and St Peters clinics. We’re family owned, we practice gold standard medicine and our clients are fantastic. 75% are insured! Our team are incredibly welcoming, with most members of staff have been with us for many years, some from day one. We refer very little and have contracted surgeons who perform TTO’s, MPLs and other orthopaedics. There is an incredible opportunity to learn these orthopaedic skills with us. Joining SCV means that you’ll be joining one of Australia’s most innovate veterinary clinics, where you’ll be nurtured to learn not only the best veterinary medicine but also to advance veterinary medicine and even have your name published on some papers. We have a unique partnership with the top human specialists in the areas of gastroenterology, radiation oncology, surgery and anaesthesia to name a few, the collaboration with whom is intellectually stimulating and fun! We offer ultrasound, CT, digital x-ray and all the latest technology including Ligasure and Cayman surgical handpieces supported by a remarkable, well trained, team of nurses. Our nurses perform many clinical duties freeing up time for our Doctors to do what they really love – our nurses place IV cannulas, run bloods etc and the ratio of nurse:doctors is always high to ensure you have all the support you need.
Requirements for Role:
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (preferable)
- Confident in catheter placement
- Confident in blood draws
- Confident in anaesthesia
- Calm but quick in an emergency
- Quick learner
- Good self-presentation
- Well-spoken and bubbly for client interaction
- Works well within a team but also by themselves
- Likes to keep their work environment clean and clear
Hours are 38/week with a very generous salary and other perks including:
