New COVID policies at Southern Cross Vet
We would like to appeal to all our clients to, please, respect our COVID policies and abide by them.
These policies are designed to make sure we stay open throughout the pandemic to look after your pets but above all, make sure our family members stay as healthy as possible during the pandemic.
Our super simple 3 point policy:
1. Wear a mask
This is not negotiable, you must wear a mask if you are having a consultation at Southern Cross Vet. If our staff wear masks and our clients wear mask, the risk of transmission of the virus indoors, where social distancing can’t be strictly adhered to is minimised as effectively as possible.
From Mid-August we are even providing you with Australian Made N95 masks to wear and take home with you to continue using.
2. Ban on Victorian travellers
With the entire state being a declared ‘hot spot’, we have a temporary ban on Victorian travellers entering the clinic.
Those clients who have been to Victoria in the last 2 weeks or have been in contact with someone who has been there in the last 2 weeks are directed not to enter the clinic
Alcohol based santiser stations are set up at the entry of the clinic where you must sanitise your hands and pet’s lead + collar or carrier handle (for smaller patients)
We thank you all for your kind cooperation in abiding the above rules, which are designed to keep all of us safe of this dreaded virus.
